JetStor SATA405S is a reliable, portable RAID with SCSI connectivity. Ideal for personal portable data storage, carrying large projects easily or even as a delivery media for multi-terabyte image product.
Connect it via SCSI it can safely aquire and store up to 8TB(RAID 5) of data for later transfer or analysis. The data can be separated into multiple volumes if required.
Please be aware that some older Operating Systems have a 2TB volume limit (i.e. Windows 2000, XP Professional 32 bit). For these OS's we would recommend a JetStor SATA 405S configured with 5*500GB drives RAID 5. This will give a formatted capacity of just under 2TB.
Your JetStor 405S will come with five reloadable, lockable, drive trays each holding a standard SATA drive. The latch design gives you instant access to your drives from the front making it easy to load, reload, or replace hard disks at any time. VSPL are pleased to offer these trays as a separately orderable item folllowing user feedback, please contact us with your enquiry.
You'll be able to carry your storage around using the built-in handle. Fully configured with 5 disks it weighs just 8Kg meaning multiple terabytes can be hauled around with ease. You will be able to use your JetStor 405S to transport backups offsite, carry extremely large projects easily, or perform field backups!
The many RAID options available with JetStor 405S give you the power to choose exactly how safe you want your data to be. Configure it how you like! We suggest RAID 5, or even as a RAID 6 for the highest level of data protection available for your files. There is a password-protectable web GUI for RAID configuration and management. For added convenience, you can also configure it via a front panel making RAID configuration simple.

Because of the sensitive nature of the information that you may store on your drives, we understand that you cannot return failed drive to us. Should you experience a drive failure please send to VSPL a photo copy via fax or scan via email of the failed drive label. On receipt of this document we will send free of charge a replacement drive via courier for delivery to your site by midday the following day.

- Exclusive Advanced Data Sentry technology (RAID 6) provides the highest level of data protection. Multiplie simultaneous drive failures can be tolerated without downtime or data loss.
