JetStor SATA405U is a reliable, portable RAID with USB 2.0, FW800 and eSATA connectivity. Ideal for acquiring data offsite and securely transporting back to the lab for later analysis.

Connect it via FireWire 800, USB 2.0 or external SATA and configured with 5*2TB drives it provides up to 8TB (RAID 5) of data for later transfer or analysis.
Please be aware that FireWire is limited to a maximum of one 2TB volume. Also some older Operating Systems have a 2TB volume limit (i.e. Windows 2000, XP Professional 32 bit). In these cases we would suggest a JetStor SATA405U configured with 5*500GB drives RAID 5. This will give a formatted capacity of just under 2TB.
There is no 2TB volume limit for Operating Systems such as Windows 7, Vista, XP Pro 64 bit, W2003, W2008, Linux, MAC etc.
Your JetStor 405U will come with five reloadable, lockable, drive trays each holding a standard SATA drive. The latch design gives you instant access to your drives from the front making it easy to load, reload, or replace hard disks at any time. VSPL are pleased to offer these trays as a separately orderable item following user feedback, please contact us with your enquiry.
You'll be able to carry your storage around using the built-in handle. Fully configured with 5 disks it weighs just 8Kg meaning multiple terabytes can be hauled around with ease. You will be able to use your JetStor 405U to transport backups offsite, carry extremely large projects easily or perform field backups!
The many RAID options available with JetStor 405U give you the power to choose exactly how safe you want your data to be. Configure it how you like! We suggest RAID 5, or even as a RAID 6 for the highest level of data protection available for your files. There is a password-protectable web GUI for RAID configuration and management. For added convenience, you can also configure it via a front panel making RAID configuration simple.

Because of the sensitive nature of the information that you may store on your drives, we understand that you cannot return failed drive to us. Should you experience a drive failure please send to VSPL a photocopy via fax or scan via email of the failed drive label. On receipt of this document we will send free of charge a replacement drive via courier for delivery to your site the following day.
