The JetStor SAS 616iSD is a fully redundant iSCSI SAN array enabling customers to create an enterprise level scalable Ethernet based storage area network.

Engineered to meet enterprise demands for continuous availability, maximum resilience comes as standard with; automatic failover, mirrored cache, battery backup, hot-swap RAID controllers, hot-swap disk drives and three hot-swap PSUs.

Featuring the powerful Intel Xscale 64-bit RISC processor for extremely fast I/O operations, parity-assist ASIC, iSCSI-assist engine and TCP Offload Engine (TOE), the JetStor SAS 616iSD is a suitable solution for both physical and virtual storage requirements and has been certified for use by VMWare (ESX server), Microsoft (Hyper-V), and Citrix (Xen Server). With eight iSCSI interface's you can deploy it for use in I/O intensive applications or configure it to achieve a high level of throughput.

RAID6 comes as standard on all JetStor iSCSI arrays. Optional data protection software features include snapshot and replication capability enabling you to further protect your data. Replicate to another JetStor SAS 616iSD to enhance your disaster recovery plans - use snapshots to safeguard against user error.

Configure and manage your storage environment with a simple but powerful RAID GUI, accessible through most web browsers. Benefit from fast configuration, monitoring and notification which provides instant access to the status of the RAID array allowing 24*7 monitoring and remote notification.

Configure with your choice of SATA 300, SATA 600, 3Gb SAS, 6Gb SAS hard drives. Use SAS for transactional or intensive applications; use SATA tier for high capacity requirements.

JetStor systems are modular in design, enabling simple hot-swap replacement of failed parts even by non-technical staff. This negates the requirement for a JetStor engineer to attend site and reduces any period at risk. An RMA (return material authorisation) will be supplied. The customer agrees to return the failed part within 30 days.

Telephone & E-mail Support
Monday - Friday, 9:00AM - 5:00PM (excluding public and VSPL holidays). Software related issues are usually assessed and managed remotely from either the UK or US support centre. If required, a service representative will visit on-site.

On Site Spare Parts
Spare parts are available to purchase and hold on-site enabling you to quickly replace part(s) and restore your system back to full operational health. VSPL will replenish the spare part(s) through an advance replacement service.

On Site Spare Systems
For customers with larger deployments or those with more demanding support requirements, complete spare systems can be supplied enabling the rapid resolution of faults or restoration of services in the event of individual part(s) or complete chassis failure. JetStor storage systems support RAID array roaming - a stand-by chassis can be supplied which will accept the disk drives of the relocated RAID set(s) installed in any physical order.

Secure Site 'NoReturn' Drive Support
Due to the sensitive nature of the data that you may store, we understand that you can not always return failed drives to us. Should you experience a drive failure we will provide a replacement drive without the requirement to return any failed drive.
